This beautiful dry stoned walled terraced garden is a haven for wild birds. We have many feeders hanging in the trees (the feeders are filled on your arrival but if you want to refill, we ask for a donation in the honesty box). We have blue tits, great tits, chaffinches, wrens, woodpeckers, tree creepers, collared doves, robins and many more. There are wild bird books and an information poster on the upstairs landing to help you identify the visitors to our garden.
The garden has a hard based patio with a table and 8 chairs plus a large gas barbeque (please clean after use). The next tier is our “beach” with a gravel base, buoys, driftwood for sitting on and fire pit (this must only be used by adults and is at your own risk) - a great place to sit and watch the stars and toast marshmallows.
The garden goes up another 2 terraces with winding pathways to the top tier, where there is a small area with a barbeque, table and chairs for you to sit enjoy the view of the sea and watch the comings and goings of boats. The garden backs onto woodland where the wild flowers are in abundance. We have tried to keep the garden filled with mainly wild flowers.
Please feel welcome to do any gardening, if that is your passion, we appreciate any input into the garden ... even a piece of driftwood from the beach.
